COVID-19 Downloadable Resources & Information

Central District Health Department offers COVID-19 vaccine clinics from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Mondays - Fridays with Thursday clinics running until 7 pm. No appointment is necessary to receive a vaccine. All clinics are now held inside our offices located at 1137 South Locust Street in Grand Island.

We ask those with insurance please present their cards, but no one will be turned away and shots are provided at no cost.

Please wear a mask when in our office.

We are currently offering additional doses and boosters for everyone who has had a full sequence of shots (two for Pfizer and Moderna, one for J&J) six months or more ago. CDHD recommends boosters at this time.

Please bring your vaccination card when seeking additional doses. If you have any questions, please contact us at (308) 385-5175 during business hours or send an email to health@cdhd.ne.gov.

MultiMedia Resources

The CDHD has asked several local physicians to talk about their experiences with the COVID-19 vaccine and their patients. In this series, "Doctors of Vaccines" there is a wide variety of information from physicians from our community.

The clips below were taken from a Tri-Cities COVID-19 Back to School Update on August 4th. The presentations by Dr. Danny Leonard, Pediatric Specialist at Mary Lanning and Dr. James Lawler, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at UNMC, give a good update on the health concerns and changes surrounding the Delta Variant, and what the public needs to be aware of as cases continue to climb.

On July 19th the Health Department hosted an "Ask A Doctor" event where Grand Island physicians answered questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. Below you can find audio clips of the evening and the full presentation.
